The OwnHammer Rock-Box cabinets are proprietary enclosures, designed and built in-house singularly for impulse response capture and towards multiple sound design goals:
  • to maximize fidelity and musicality for use in a broad range of styles and applications
  • to provide a tone that is both something familiar and something new
  • to exude a neutrality that allows the individuality of different speakers, guitars, pickups, amps, and playing nuances to shine through unencumbered
Various unique construction choices were implemented to accomplish this complex requirement set to outstanding result, providing a tone with clean low end, magical midrange, smooth high end, and incredible note clarity across the entire spectrum.

CABINETS:

• Blend (natural and balanced)
• Classic (soft and woody)
• Modern (bold and punchy)
• Tall Vintage (deep and chunky)

CUSTOM MIXES:

The originality of the Rock-Box series continues with the way captures are provided. In order to streamline the process of getting great tone, the mic-up for each cabinet was painstakingly narrowed down to just a single setup that best represented the character and intended use case of that enclosure. There are no single mics or multiple mix options to choose from, just the one that best suited each box.

MULTIPLE MIC PLACEMENTS:

All of the custom mix types unique to each cabinet contain five different mic placement position sets ranging from brighter to darker, allowing further customization of the sound.

FILE FORMAT:

All impulse responses in this library are provided in wave audio (.wav) file format, which is compatible with most hardware and software loaders. All files are mono channel count, 24-bit, have been minimum phase transformed using a proprietary algorithm, and provisioned in 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz, and 96 kHz sample rates.

PRODUCT VERSION:

This impulse response library product adheres to our V7 cabinet modeling procedures and methodologies. IR's created in this way best compliment the sounds of tube amps and digital amp platforms and products that meet the standards set in the post machine learning age of amp modeling. Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, if the platform in question accepts wave audio format (.wav) files in 24-bit resolution, mono channel count, and at 44.1, 48, 88.2, or 96 kHz sample rate.

If verification is necessary prior to making a commercial purchase, this can be accomplished via the IR Freebie.

This question is best asked to the loading platform provider, as they will have official knowledge of their platform's operations and requirements. OwnHammer wave audio format IR's are provided in 24-bit resolution, mono channel count, and at 44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96 kHz sample rates, should you need to confirm those specifics against 3rd party documentation or with 3rd party platform support.

In DAW environments, it is always best to use IR files that are the same sample rate of the project/session, as you cannot be certain that the IR loader you import the IR into has sample rate conversion correction capabilities.

Additionally, in the event that the platform in question finds itself in the below list, some information on known/submitted platforms and their native operating formats and requirements can be found at:
