The (r)Evolution Bundle impulse response library captures and is seeking to recreate the sound of twelve cabinet types and three multi-cabinet blends suitable for all manner of styles and tones. Launched alongside and within the virally successful Strymon Iridium, this library contains IRs in OwnHammer's market-first TrueStereo™ format as well as standard mono.

Originally released in 2019, this library's sound and feature set has been remade in 2025 to be easier to navigate and use with today's tools, workflows, and upcoming OwnHammer software.

Impulse response files are provided in Wave Audio Format (.wav), and have been minimum phase transformed using a proprietary algorithm.

This library also includes our innovative TrueStereo™ files, which are an original concept, implementation, and OwnHammer market-first guitar cabinet impulse response file format consisting of 2-channel (stereo) IR’s where the left and right channels are similar, though non-identical. This will result in a sound that when fed the same mono source to each channel will center resolve, but when fed unique stereo audio will allow for slightly better separation in the stereo field and with greater imaging width.

In addition to the standard center resolving files, further stereo IRs are also included that introduce a faux stereo dual tracked guitar sound via the Haas Precedence Effect, where one side of the stereo field is slightly delayed, generating this effect with no additional logic or processing required!

FILE FORMAT:

All impulse responses in this library are provided in wave audio (.wav) file format, which is compatible with most hardware and software loaders. All files are 24-bit depth, have been minimum phase transformed using a proprietary algorithm, and are provisioned in 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz, and 96 kHz sample rates.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, if the platform in question accepts wave audio format (.wav) files in 24-bit resolution, mono channel count, and at 44.1, 48, 88.2, or 96 kHz sample rate.

If verification is necessary prior to making a commercial purchase, this can be accomplished via the low-risk IR Cheapie.

This question is best asked to the loading platform provider, as they will have official knowledge of their platform's operations and requirements. OwnHammer wave audio format IR's are provided in 24-bit resolution, mono channel count, and at 44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96 kHz sample rates, should you need to confirm those specifics against 3rd party documentation or with 3rd party platform support.

In DAW environments, it is always best to use IR files that are the same sample rate of the project/session, as you cannot be certain that the IR loader you import the IR into has sample rate conversion correction capabilities.

Additionally, in the event that the platform in question finds itself in the below list, some information on known/submitted platforms and their native operating formats and requirements can be found at:
