It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear.
The Chugginator absolutely WILL NOT STOP, EVER, until you are CHUGGING!

The Cabinet

This product set is centered around a monstrous custom guitar cabinet that brings the chugs with the heaviness of ten tons of titanium alloy. In addition to the larger than typical driver array, the enclosure is oversized in every dimension which results in a cavernous chunk, with incredible density that adds muscle and authority to any pitch of heavy guitar, from standard tuned to 9-string insanity.

Purpose built to be a truly a one-of-a-kind design with a one-of-a-kind sound, The Chugginator separates itself from the safe, typical, and often overused fare as something fresh and new that stands out from the crowd.

Included Speaker Types

Each represented by a singular custom multi-mic mix, the following 30 different speaker types have been captured within this monstrosity:
• BS90 (based on Celestion® Black Shadow MC-90 speakers)
• CTSC (based on vintage ceramic Fender® CTS speakers)
• DEMN (based on Hesu® Demon speakers)
• DV77 (based on Eminence® DV77 speakers)
• EDVH (based on Celestion® G12-EVH speakers)
• G65M (based on modern Celestion® G12-65 speakers)
• GVNR (based on Eminence® The Governor speakers)
• H30L (based on Celestion® G12H-30 75-Hz cone speakers)
• H75C (based on Celestion® G12H-75 Creamback speakers)
• K100 (based on Celestion® G12K-100 speakers)
• LNCH (based on Celestion® G12-50GL Lynchback speakers)
• M25L (based on Celestion® G12M-25 75-Hz cone speakers)
• RDBK (based on Celestion® G12H-150 Redback speakers)
• REPR (based on WGS® Reaper speakers)
• RTRO (based on WGS® Retro 30 speakers)
• RV30 (based on Rivera Amplification® V30-style prototype speakers)
• RV75 (based on Rivera Amplification® T75-style prototype speakers)
• SCUM (based on Scumback® J75-PVC speakers)
• SHEF (based on Peavey® Sheffield 1230 speakers)
• SUGR (based on Scholz® Sugar Cone speakers)
• SWMP (based on Eminence® Swamp Thang speakers)
• T75M (based on modern Celestion® T75 speakers)
• T75V (based on vintage skunk-stripe era Celestion® T75 speakers)
• V30A/B/C/D/E/F (based on various iterations of Celestion® Vintage 30 speakers)
• WZRD (based on Eminence® Wizard speakers)
In addition to this and exclusive to the plugin version of The Chugginator is a one-off multi-speaker mix that is accessible by selecting "DEFAULT" at the top of the speaker pull-down list, and is the initial selection when first loading a new instance of the plugin. This provides a middle-of-the-pack sound that can get you up and running instantly before experimenting further with the large swath of available single and paired speaker options.

Speaker and Speaker-Pair Selection

The cornucopia of destruction is aplenty with the mass amount of speaker and speaker pair options at the ready - 901 to be exact - all consolidated to a concise and convenient selection space.

In addition to the 30 single speakers on their own, every possible 2-speaker permutation (870 additional options) is also provided as turn-key solutions to quickly navigate this colossal collection of cones as efficiently and affectively as possible.

This is accomplished via a very neat and tidy pull-down menu. Just highlight the main speaker you want to see options for, and the 30 options within that group will populate to the side. Select the one you want and you're off. Want to quickly flip between the options? The navigation arrows in the display window allow you to be hands off your strings for as short a time as possible.

When selecting a speaker pair, the speaker at the beginning of the name will be the dominant of the two in the mixture. In this way, the same combination of two speakers can and will result in two unique flavors depending on which is taking up the most space in the blend.

Resonance Control

The RESONANCE slider allows you to simultaneously bring in power amp Depth and Presence type frequency response alteration to scoop your tone. With the slider placed all the way to the left the effect is bypassed, and moving the slider to the right raises the amount of Depth and Presence added in equal measure.

Mic Placement and Filters

Virtual mic movement is provided in an innovative and original manner that differs from traditional placement systems, and in such a way as to not require any form of previous knowledge in mic positioning/technique.

When the POSITION and PROXIMITY controls are at their default "noon" position (value = 0.0), the underlying captures are in their individually designated sweet spot location. Rotating the POSITION knob clockwise moves the combined capture spot closer to the center of the speaker resulting in a brighter sound, and rotating the PROXIMITY knob clockwise moves the combined capture spot closer to the speaker plane increasing the low end and in-your-face attitude.

LOW CUT allows for high pass filtering, and HIGH CUT allows for low pass filtering; both with OFF state bypass.

Frequently Asked Questions

Due to the nature of this product, we do not offer trials or refunds. Our software has been extensively tested on all systems that meet the listed requirements. If you have concerns about compatibility, please ensure your system meets the specifications before purchase. As per our Terms of Service, all sales are final.

No. While it is highly recommended, USB iLok is not required. A free Pace iLok account and free iLok License Manager software are all that are needed for license activation. iLok machine and USB activations are currently available.

No, this software is specifically involving of the cabinet, speaker, microphone, and EQ components. As such, pedals, amps, and other distortion generating devices are not part of the simulated signal chain and would need to be provided from an alternate preceding source.

If you want the sound of a full electric guitar signal chain, you will need an amp in front of this plugin, either via an amp sim with the cabinet disabled, or from the line out of a load box that you have connected your tube amp to.

Word to the wise: make sure to never connect the output of your tube amp directly to your interface without a load or you'll be sure to at a minimum blow/melt the transformers in your amp!

No, this product is in plugin format and requires host sofware such as a digital audio workstation (DAW) to be used.

No, IR export is not a feature nor a design intention for this product.

This software and the inherent intellectual property is made to be used exclusively in a DAW host environment to make music with. If you are requiring of impulse response files to load into external systems such as digital modelers or IR capable amps, OwnHammer provides such products in the following locations and subsequent file formats:

Impulse Responses - Fractal Audio Format
Impulse Responses - Line 6 Format
Impulse Responses - Wave Audio Format

No, this plugin is enclosed and will only load the options that are internal to it.

No, at the current time this intentionally only simulates the linear, frequency response domain effect, as this function was intended to help adjust the sound of direct recorded amps without having to re-amp them with new settings or add functionality to amp-sim plugins which do not offer any kind of tone controls (like single knob amp sims), not necessarily serve as a replacement for this part of the signal chain in its entirety.

The default category that our plugins are assigned internally is "FX". If your DAW organizes plugins based on categories, this will be the area it is located. If your DAW does not have an FX category, it will assign it to a category that it determines to be the catch-all for cases where it does not have a category that matches what the plugin provides as the defined category. For example, in some DAW's it will then revert to place the plugin in the "Other" category. This will be different from DAW to DAW.

Not directly as the preset menu is only intended for management of user generated presets. For The Chugginator, factory presets could be considered indirectly provided in the form of all the provided options already being optimized pre-made multi-mic mixes.

No. License transfers are not permitted and are solely assigned to the account from which they were originally purchased by and registered to.

No, as this falls outside of our ability to be involved.
