| this page describes how to deposit and activate your purchased PACE iLok license |
| Step 1: PACE Account & License Manager |
|
PACE iLok integrates seamlessly and reliably with our website and automation requirements and is thusly used for license authorization in OwnHammer software. PACE's iLok system resolves the myriad problems inherent to serial key authorization through their account based license manager software, which must first be installed and takes less than a minute to complete.

| Step 2: Deposit Your Purchased License |

Immediately after a successful transaction, you will be forwarded to the Thank You page where you can deposit your newly acquired license into your iLok account. Towards the top left of this page, look for the following module where you will enter your PACE iLok Account User ID. Please note that this is NOT the email address associated with your iLok account, but the user name/alias for that account:
After you type in your Pace iLok Account User ID, mouse-click anywhere outside the text box and Pace will look for your account in their system. When it finds a match, the "Verified" checkbox will fill, and the "Deposit" button can now be clicked to deposit your newly acquired license into your Pace iLok account:
After clicking the "Deposit" button, the authorization process will continue, and the button will temporarily change to a "Depositing" state. Once the license has been successfully deposited into your account, the following success message will now replace the authorization module:
You are now ready to Activate your license within your iLok License Manager and can move on to the next step.

If you left the Thank You page without completing this step, you can return to it at any time in the future. Once logged into your account (ownhammer.com/account), look for the order with the plugin you would like to authorize, then in the "ORDER INFO / ILOK LICENSE" column on the left, click on the box with your Order #:
The Pace license authorization module will be located toward the top left of the landing page.

Step 3: Activate Your Deposited License
(short/recommended method)

Launch your iLok License Manager software on the computer where you wish to authorize your plugin on or to (if chosing the machine license option). Once the software has loaded, click the "Sign In" button in the top left. Enter your credentials if necessary and sign into your iLok account:

Find your OwnHammer plugin license (will start with "OH"), right-click on that line, then select "Activate":
Select the iLok USB, cloud, or computer you wish to assign the license to, then click "Activate":
Click "OK" on the next two prompts to complete the activation:

Step 3: Activate Your Deposited License
(long method)
|
|
Launch your DAW software on the computer with your iLok USB attached. Some DAW's will prompt you to enter the wizard on startup, some may require you to try to insert the plugin on a track first to initialize an authorization wizard.
On the first screen, click "Activate":
On the second screen, click "Skip" (serial keys are no longer provided for iLok licenses):
On the third screen, enter your iLok User ID (not an email, but an alias) and password, then click "Next":
On the fourth screen, select the license then click "Next":
On the fifth screen, select the iLok USB, cloud, or computer you wish to assign the license to, then click "Next":
On the final screen, click "Continue" to close the wizard:

| Step 4: Loading the Plugin |
|
To load an authorized and installed (Mac | Windows) OwnHammer plugin, place an instance of it as an insert on a track or bus in a DAW session. The default category that our plugins are assigned internally is "FX". If your DAW organizes plugins based on categories, this will be the area it is located. If your DAW does not have an FX category, it will assign it to a category that it determines to be the catch-all for cases where it does not have a category that matches what the plugin provides as the defined category. For example, in some DAW's it will then revert to place the plugin in the "Other" category. This will be different from DAW to DAW.
If you cannot find where your DAW has placed our plugin within your DAW's organizational structure, perform a search for "OH " in your plugin insert list, as all of our plugins begin with this prefix.
