VPN Access Denied

Sorry, you do not have permission to access this site while using a VPN or proxy service.

Please disable this service and try again, thanks!

Why?

Among other security concerns and customer assistance framework requirements, the use of VPNs and IP obfuscation services create potential rejections of legitimate payment attempts as a function of the authorization process. If the IP address of the transaction attempt is in a location far enough away from the registered address of the card holder, security protocols of many credit and debit cards may refuse the sale attempt. Ensuring the location of the transaction is related to the location of the card holder creates a safer environment for customers and quicker and more efficient interactions with our automated customer service system.

If you are unaware that you are using such a service, the following are some common VPN's and how you can disable them to regain access to the OwnHammer website:

Apple
iCloud+ Subscription Ā  | Ā  iCloud Private Relay

Due to the nature of how this service functions, it largely does not interfere with sales approvals as the IP location still remains within a relatively close proximity to the source. As a result, iCloud Private Relay is allowed for use with the OwnHammer website. However, as Apple outsources this service to third party partners, new integration providers may be utilized that display as their own company and may not be recognized as an extension of Apple, requiring intervention.

Depending on the type of Apple device, disabling iCloud Private Relay can be located in different places and under different names:

for iPhone and iPad:
  • open the "Settings" app
  • tap on your Apple ID (your name, towards the top)
  • select iCloud > Private Relay
  • toggle the Private Relay switch to off
  • if prompted to confirm, tap "Turn Off Private Relay"
for Mac:
  • open "System Settings" (in the Apple menu)
  • click on "Network" in the sidebar
  • click on "Wi-Fi Network" or "Ethernet Connection"
  • click on "Details"
  • toggle the "Limit IP Address Tracking" switch to off
